FACT: An adorable Mouse-Making Workshop is *the* cutest way to spend a Saturday

Stressful week? Need a proper escape from adulting?
If your Instagram feed is currently 90% “cottagecore” and cute handmade crafts, we have found your literal dream afternoon.
Local fiber artist Laura Statham is hosting a five-hour deep dive into the world of needle felting in Wilton on Saturday, April 11th, and the goal? Creating your very own tiny, stylish mouse.
This isn’t just any mouse. We’re talking a mouse with main character energy. You get to pick from a variety of scarf colours to suit your mouse’s personality.
Feeling fancy? You can even deck yours out with tiny rain boots and a miniature umbrella. It’s officially the most adorable thing happening in Cork this spring.

Don’t let the “fiddly” bits scare you off, either. Even if you’ve never touched a piece of wool in your life, Laura says this one is totally beginner-friendly. She provides everything you need, so you just have to turn up and let the creativity flow.
The workshop runs from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a break in the middle for you to refuel. Since you’re right by Wilton Shopping Centre, you can pop over for a caffeine hit or bring a packed lunch to enjoy in the parish centre.
Pro-Tip on Parking: Don’t get stuck in the shopping centre traffic! There’s free parking in the SMA grounds. Look for the gates just after the ESB entrance—they’ll open automatically as you drive up. Head to Room 9 (it’s the one through the brown glass doors next to the church) and you’re in.
How to Book: DM Laura on IG, WhatsApp 083 8093645, or drop an email to laurafiberartist@gmail.com.
It’s €50 for five and a half hours of expert tuition and a new little friend to take home. Honestly, it’s the wholesome weekend reset we all need.
