Electric is about to be hopping for the Easter weekend – here’s what’s on

By Yay Cork April 13, 2022April 13, 2022

Brought to you by Electric.

These sunny spells are giving us summer vibes.

And if you’re heading into town to make the most of the Easter bank holiday, there’s nowhere like Electric for an alfresco riverside pint on the boardwalk while you soak up some Vitamin D.

The good news is that there’s plenty going on inside too so we care not a jot about what the weather is doing.

Open from Wednesday to Sunday, the buzzing South Mall spot is open for lunch, dinner, cocktails, and dancing all weekend long.

There’s a full line-up of live music planned, a tantalising selection of new cocktails to sample and a choice of exciting menus heaving with options to suit everyone in the gang, including a €10 kids menu.

Catch an early bird before 6.30pm

You can catch an Early Bird dinner before 6.30pm at any stage during the weekend in the newly refurbished Asian Fusion restaurant from 4pm – it’s three delicious courses for €30 (you get a starter, a main and a choice of a dessert or cocktail) or hit the Bar Food Menu for easy eats such as edamame and chilli sea salt, bao buns, sushi, gyoza, and small plates.

Every Thursday you can order a chef’s selection sushi plate and any two cocktails for €29 too.

Sip a cocktail overlooking the Lee

Long week? There’s nothing like a fancy cocktail to take the edge off ahead of a bank holiday weekend and the beautiful Ohm Cocktail Bar is one of the most scenic spots to indulge.

Book a table upstairs and settle in for some world-class creations with views overlooking the Lee. The new Ohm menu is packed with fresh flavours, all thoughtfully mixed using locally foraged ingredients.

Our’s is a Spog That, made with Espolon tequila, grapefruit, tarragon and tonic…

If you’re peckish, make sure you take an Ohm Snackcard and choose some delectable bites to enjoy with your cocktails; we recommend the Thai Crab and Chicory Boats, the Asian Wings and the Ebi Katsu Prawns with chilli and wasabi mayo for dunking.

Delish.

Sunday dinner

If you’d rather kick back and relax than roast a lamb, leave it to the professionals on Easter Sunday; catch up with family or meet your mates for a mouthwatering meal at Electric; the Sunday Special runs from 1pm, with three courses or two courses plus a cocktail for a very reasonable €30.

Electric is open from Wednesday, April 13th to Sunday, April 17th, 2022 for the Easter weekend, with doors at 5pm Wednesday to Saturday and 1pm on Sunday.

To book a table at Electric, visit the website.
