It’s a guilty pleasure.
While Cork is bursting with excellent brunch and breakfast spots, all offering delicious local fare, there is the odd occasion when only an Egg McMuffin will do.
It’s a nostalgia thing. And, let’s be honest, a hangover thing.
In any case, it’s a thing that you will soon be able to enjoy for an extra half-hour very soon; McDonald’s has announced it is extending its breakfast hours in Ireland from 10.30am until 11am.
As of Wednesday, November 20th, 2019, you will now be able to hit the drive-thru for pancakes, a Bacon & Egg McMuffin or a breakfast roll (don’t forget the hot, greasy, crunchy hash brown in its own little bag) for an extra 30 minutes.
“We all understand the pain of missing out on a McMuffin by a matter of minutes.” said Vice President of Food and Marketing at McDonald’s UK and Ireland Michelle Graham-Clare.
“We have listened to our customers’ pleas and are delighted to extend breakfast serving time until 11am, particularly as we head into the festive season when we see a rush of latecomers searching for those all-important hash browns.”
See you under the golden arches.
