Ed Sheeran just gave 160 concert tickets to Ukrainian refugees in Cork

This just made our day.
As Cork goes Ed Sheeran crazy ahead of two long-anticipated performances on Leeside, the British singer-songwriter reached out to a local shelter for Ukrainian refugees with an incredibly kind gesture.
The ‘Shape of You’ singer donated 160 tickets to Friday’s show at Páirc Uí Chaoimh to the Convent Sanctuary, which runs two safe spaces for those in need in Buttevant and Limerick.
“We are blown away and thought it might be nice to try and thank him as publicly as possible. It means so much to everyone here and an incredible gesture,” said Convent Sanctuary volunteer Muirne Scanlon.
“We have 160 Ukraine residents of all ages housed in the properties since the start of the Ukraine war. So many people are helping and local communities have been incredible to us and continue to be.
“The Ed thing happened yesterday. Some very amazing people made it happen but we reached out to Ed’s people and we got a call the next day!”
