Douglas Farmer’s Market has been cancelled due to last-minute issues

Well, shoot.
The organisers of Douglas Farmer’s Market have been forced to cancel this weekend’s event due to lingering issues after the fire in the shopping centre car park last Saturday.
Despite everyone’s best efforts, an alternative location could not be secured in time.
The event was due to bring some much-needed shoppers into the area, which is struggling after the closure of more than 50 retail units inside the centre.
Announcing the news on social media, the market organisers said:
“Unfortunately due to problems relating to the fire we have had to cancel the market tomorrow. We are all really sorry and hope to be back in the next week or so. We will keep you updated.”
Part of the car park is set to be demolished after sustaining severe structural damage during the inferno, which destroyed 50 cars.
