Deck the Halls (and book the tables): This pub has your Christmas party sorted

By Yay Cork September 2, 2024December 5, 2024

Brought to you by Sober Lane.

‘Tis the season to be jolly.

And there’s no better place to spread the cheer this Christmas than Sober Lane. This Cork gem on Sullivan’s Quay transforms into a winter wonderland, come the festive season, and there’s still time to get your booking sorted.

Especially if you want to be the office hero who secured the perfect spot for a knees-up that’ll be the stuff of legend.

Forget the stress of party planning. Sober Lane has everything covered. With its cosy atmosphere, delicious food, and an immaculate cocktail list, it’s the perfect venue to celebrate the festive season with colleagues, friends, or family.

This year they’re serving a three-course Christmas Menu for a bargain €28.50, with options aplenty for everyone, from the carnivores to the vegans and veggies.

Behold, the menu…

Starters include chicken wings in Korean BBQ sauce, chorizo bombs with creamy garlic aioli, mac ‘n’ cheese croquettes dunked in red pepper romesco and crispy tofu with a peanut dipping sauce.

Diners choose one main (hello famous Sober Lane goujons and secret Sober Mayo), with a whopper bacon and cheeseburger, the Back in Black Clonakilty Blackpudding burger, the Spicy Motherclucker chicken goujon and blue cheese mayo burger on brioche and a mouthwatering veggie burger and vegan burger to choose from. All mains come with a side of fries, natch.

If you can find the room after that feast, there’s a double chocolate brownie served with white chocolate ganache and raspberry pureé waiting to finish your meal in style.

The bar’s friendly staff are on hand to ensure your party runs smoothly, leaving you free to relax and enjoy the festivities. And with its central location, getting to and from Sober Lane is a breeze.

Hot tip: Do not wait until November. Book your Christmas party at Sober Lane today by emailing party@soberlane.com. Check out the full menu here. (€20pp booking deposit required to secure Christmas party bookings.
