All these artisan Cork businesses made the shortlist in the Irish Made Awards

Made in Cork means made with care.
Several Cork-based businesses have been honoured with a place on the shortlist for the Irish Made Awards 2024, a celebration of the best in Irish design, craftsmanship, and artisanal food and drink.
Among the shortlisted businesses is McWilliam Bags, a Kinsale-based brand recognised in the Accessories category for their exquisite craftsmanship and durable, stylish designs.
In the Beauty category, Waters+Wild from West Cork and Cork skincare startup Doctrine both made the shortlist.
The Green Dot, a Clonakilty-based gift shop, is a finalist in the Local Retailer category and BKultured, a Midleton-based business, has been shortlisted in the Drinks category for their innovative kefir beverages.

Doctrine, co-founded by industry veterans Mark O’Sullivan, Tracey Ryan, and Caoimhe Donoghue, has rapidly gained attention for its commitment to innovation and sustainability.
“We are so honoured to be named as finalists in the beauty category of the Irish Made Awards,” said co-founder Tracey Ryan. “It’s a huge achievement for us in our first year of business to be featured alongside such strong and well-loved Irish brands.”
Alternative Christmas Pudding, a family-run business led by mother and daughter duo Niamh and Sadhbh, and Hanna’s Bees, run by Hanna Bäckmo from Little Island, were also honoured.
These Cork businesses now need the public’s support to secure victory in their respective categories. Voting is open until September 12th and can be done through the Irish Country Magazine website. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Kildare on October 4th.
