Just a 25-minute drive from the city, The Blue Haven Hotel in Kinsale has been awarded 4 Star Hotel Status with AA and a Rosette award for its Culinary Excellence in the Fish Market Bistro.

And that’s not all; The Blue Haven’s sister property, The Old Bank House, received AA 5 Star Status last year having won No 1 Guest House in Ireland by Georgina Campbell the previous year.

Both properties were visited by experienced inspectors from The AA, which recognises over 4000 hotels across Ireland and Britain each year.

“We are extremely proud of our hard working team who have made this happen.” says Blue Haven Director, Ciaran Fitzgerald.

“We set an objective of achieving 5 Star Status in Old Bank House last year and 4 Star Status in The Blue Haven and our entire team have worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. The Rosette for Culinary Excellence was an unexpected and nice surprise to get!”

The Blue Haven Hotel is part of the Blue Haven Collection, a small boutique hospitality group based in Kinsale, which has The Blue Haven Hotel, The Old Bank House, Hamlets of Kinsale and Vikkis in Sundays Well, employing over 100 people locally.
