Rethinking your work/life balance?
If a year of lockdowns and Zoom meetings has shown you that you don’t need to be in Ireland to get your job done, The Canary Islands Tourist Board has an attractive offer for you.
As part of a plan to attract over 30,000 remote workers to the Canary Islands within a decade, the organisation has launched a competition offering one lucky digital nomad the chance to win six months of remote working in the Canary Islands, all expenses paid.
The prize will include return flights, accommodation, co-working space and activities in the archipelago for six months.
You could set up your laptop in Tazacorte, La Palma, for its tranquillity, Corralejo in Fuerteventura, for its beaches, or Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to pair natural beauty with a bustling city.
You might even enjoy better internet access than you do in Cork; the Canary Islands internet speed is better than the European average and set to become even faster with the introduction of 5G.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is record yourself answering the following question: What do you do and what would you get out of working from the Canary Islands?
Fancy escaping to the Spanish sunshine for six months? You can enter the competition here.
