Cork’s newest spa opens this weekend: Here’s everything you need to know

It’s a little slice of heaven in one of the prettiest parts of the city.
The Bellevue Spa at The Montenotte Hotel opens on Saturday, March 31st – and it’s everything we expected from Cork’s coolest new hangout.
Designed by luxury spa consultant Peigín Crowley, the creative genius behind some of Ireland’s most popular four and five-star hotel spas, the interior is a blend of heritage and modern styles, with a sweeping antique staircase leading the way to the cosy treatment rooms.

Soothing blue and grey tones create a modern city sanctuary that manages to celebrate all the historic features of the building (once the handsome home of an 18th Century merchant prince), such as the original stained glass windows and stately architectural details.
In short; it’s Instagram – tastic.

As the €7m vision of hotel developer, Frankie Whelehan reaches fruition, the Bellevue Spa is the icing on the cake.
Here’s the lowdown:
When can we get in?
The Bellevue Spa opens on Saturday, March 31st with seven therapists and beauty pros joining the team. Booking is open now.
They’ve developed a signature product line
Therapeutic treatments will be delivered using Bellevue Botanicals, a range of custom products inspired by the Montenotte’s gorgeous sunken Victorian Garden. The chosen oils capture the scents of the Irish countryside; rose, lavender, rosemary, while native ingredients include peat, carrageen moss and beeswax from West Cork.
Massages and body treatments are €85 for 50 minutes/ €125 for 80 minutes
It’s the only spa in Ireland where you can get a Dermaviduals facial
The Bellevue Spa is the only spa in Ireland to offer Dermaviduals – one of the hottest international custom skin care brands of 2018. Based on the science of corneotherapy, the blend of products is completely unique for all skin types and conditions. Note: over-exfoliating is out, this is all about prepping the skin for UV exposure and other pollutants.
Customised Dermaviduals facials are €85 for 50 minutes/ €125 for 80 minutes.
There’s an uber glam blow-dry and treatment bar
If a nourishing Kérastase hair mask, a heavenly scalp massage and a glossy blow-out sounds like your kind of treat, pop The Style Suite at the Bellevue Spa in your little black book. Launch packages include The Montenotte Blow-Out and a Classic OPI Pedicure for €65 and you can add a host of luxe extras for as little as €10.
Groups of six to nine people can book out the entire Style Suite for €75 per person – expect pampering in privacy with prosecco and sweet treats.
Excited? Us too. Here’s a teaser menu of packages to whet your appetite.
Pro tip: Pop down to the bar afterwards for a cocktail on the terrace overlooking the city.
