Cork’s newest music festival will have a hot tub DJ and an all-day pool party

It won’t be the Trabolgan you remember, that’s for sure.
For three days in April, everyone’s favourite childhood holiday village will be transformed into an adults-only playground set to host more than 60 Irish and international acts… and an aquatic element that sets it apart from anything you’re likely to have seen before.
It Takes A Village lands in the idyllic surroundings of Trabolgan in East Cork from Friday, April 13th to Sunday 15th… and there’s a major weekend in store.
The village will feature three main venues, where you can catch acts including Young Fathers, Andrew Weatherall, Lankum, Martin Hayes & Steve Cooney, Talos, Fujiya & Miyagi and Brian Deady, to name but a few.
Oh, and the backdrop looks like this…
Pop-up stages all over the 120 acre site will play host to wordsmiths, MCs, raconteurs and poets.
Perhaps the most exciting addition to the line-up, the swimming pool, with its wavemaker, slide, hot tub, and balmy conditions will host some steamy tropical party tunes from supreme DJs, with some amazing aquatic audio and synchronised sounds.
There’s even an outdoor sauna to help you ease away your hangover the next morning – they’ve thought of everything.
All leisure activities at Trabolgan like go-karting, archery, zip line and crazy golf will also be open over the weekend with some savage stalls and food trucks on hand to provide plenty of soakage.
There’s 150 self-catering houses and apartments available for group bookings from €210 for a weekend ticket, plus 35 fully-serviced campervan sites.
We’re already packing our party togs. In the meantime, here’s an epic video to whet your appetite…
