An online Lotto Jackpot winner scooped € 7,179,959 in Wednesday night’s draw.

Lotto HQ is urging all online players to check their tickets.

The National Lottery tweeted: ‘… an online Lotto Jackpot winner who has scooped a mega €7,179,959. We are advising all our online players to check their tickets to see if they have won this incredible amount.’

The numbers drawn were 9, 26, 27, 29, 31, 47, bonus number 30.

Interestingly, you are unlikely to find out if the winner is in your circle of friends, with the majority of Lotto players admitting they would be reluctant to share the good news of a win.

A National Lottery poll revealed 61 percent of us would ‘say nothing’ if we hit the jackpot.
