One of Cork’s best-loved home decor stores is about to unveil its Christmas collection for 2022… and they’ve lined up some special treats to get customers in the festive spirit to celebrate.

In what’s become something of an annual tradition, Interiosity in Douglas Woolen Mills is closing early today, Friday, so its team of design elves can get to work on transforming the shop into a winter wonderland.

If you can’t make it to Douglas today, don’t get your baubles in a bunch; for the first time, Interiosity is making everything in the Christmas makeover available to order online immediately – just unwrap yourself a candy cane, get cosy on the sofa and start filling your cart.

What’s happening in-store?

If you’re lucky enough to be in the neighbourhood, Interiosity will open the doors at 10am on Saturday, October 29th, inviting shoppers to step inside a selection of dream designs to inspire your decor for Christmas 2022.

And there are even more treats in store throughout the day:

“We have Somas, an Irish-made home fragrance company, coming at midday for a little Christmas moment, showing us ways to help you find your moments of bliss and create mindful daily rituals through an array of beautifully scented, immersive home and body products.” Nicole McGee, who co-owns Interiosity with fellow interior designer Caroline Breen, told Yay Cork.

“Later in the day, we have Cyril from St. Patrick’s distillery here in St. Patricks Woollen Mills, serving up a
custom-made festive cocktail.

“Customers can enjoy a selection of nibbles and drinks as they browse our new Christmas collections.”

Here’s a taste of the new collections you can expect to see in-store this weekend:

NOLLAIG

The Nollaig Christmas Collection is a vintage-inspired range of pieces for a nostalgic celebration. A mix of Christmas red and forest green, expect distressed metal decorations, lots of lovely berries and foliage.

REGAL

The Regal Christmas Collection is a very sophisticated, Downton Abbey-inspired collection, with deep jewel tones of velvet and encrusted baubles adorned in gold filigree and full-flocked garlands.

MODERN

The Modern Rustic Christmas Collection offers a touch of Scandinavian design paired with soft brushed metallic and natural woods. Perfect for those looking for a pared-back Christmas look.

MIDNIGHT BLUE

The Midnight Blue Christmas Collection is contemporary yet timeless, with hand-painted marbled baubles in blue tones, and garlands speckled with blueberries. It’s perfect with simple twinkle-light trees and garlands.
