Cork Weather: Met Éireann is predicting a week of warm days and humid nights

By Yay Cork July 29, 2024July 29, 2024

Start planning those beach trips.

It’s finally starting to feel like summer ’round here and Met Éireann has confirmed we can expect the fine weather to continue, right up until Friday at least.

While it will be a little cloudy today with scattered patches of light rain and drizzle, there will be a few sunny spells in the morning and late afternoon, with highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees.

Today will be quite cloudy with a few sunny spells in the east and southeast☁️🌥️

A lot of dry weather overall but with some patchy rain over the western half of the country and the odd shower elsewhere🌧️🌦️

By Tuesday, however, it will be warm, dry and bright with sunny spells as temperatures climb again, possibly as high as 23 degrees.

Most of the country will remain dry with clear spells on Wednesday and it will be mild and humid overnight too, with temperatures not falling below 11 to 14 degrees in light variable winds.

A good deal of dry weather is expected on Thursday with sunny spells and scattered showers in the morning and afternoon. It will be another warm day with highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees.

Things may go awry by Friday when the national forecaster predicts it will become overcast and wetter with outbreaks of rain spreading from the Atlantic. It will be slightly cooler and breezier too with highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.

Met Éireann has also given a rather bleak outlook for next weekend: “Turning more unsettled with spells of rain and showers. Cooler also with daytime temperatures falling back to the mid to high teens.”
