Cork Weather: Cooler for the rest of the week but summer’s back in business by Sunday

It’s all a bit uncertain, TBH.
But while this week’s temperatures are decidedly cooler than the balmy conditions we enjoyed over the bank holiday weekend, Met Éireann says it’s likely that the mercury will start to rise again by the weekend.
After a dry, cool and bright start this morning, well-scattered showers will develop in the afternoon today, with highest temperatures of just 12 to 15 degrees.
“Continuing fairly cool over the following few days but with good spells of sunshine to compensate.” said a forecaster.
“There’ll be a short spell of rain too either Thursday night or Friday. There’s a chance it’ll become mainly dry later in the weekend and for early next week with high pressure playing a more dominant role, with light winds and with temperatures recovering a little.
“In this scenario, temperatures would recover too, ranging from 16 to 18 or 19 degrees by Monday, with light to moderate northwest winds on Sunday, decreasing light westerly or variable for Monday.”
So no proper scorcher on the horizon just yet but hey, at least it’s t-shirt weather.
