Cork theatre folk are invited to an advice clinic on making work for young audiences

They are Artists in Residence at Cork’s Everyman Theatre.
Now Theatre Lovett, helmed by joint artistic directors Muireann Ahern and Louis Lovett, is inviting the city’s performing arts practitioners to take part in a unique advice clinic on making work for young audiences.
Teddy Talks started in 2019 as a series of round table advice clinics led by Ahern and a selection of invited guests.
Since then, dozens of artists and practitioners have taken part and had the chance to network with national and international guest speakers including Andy Packer, CEO and artistic director of Slingsby (Australia) and Bodil Alling, artistic director of Gruppe 38 (Denmark).
“Teddy Talks invites you into a room with others who share a passion for theatre for young audiences,” said Ahern.

“This is one of my favourite aspects of the work Theatre Lovett does. Lively discussion, surprise learning, and topping up on inspiration.”
Teddy Talks will take place at The Everyman on Wednesday, September 6th, and Thursday, 7th, and applications are invited from interested practitioners by Monday, August 28th at 5pm.
Funded by The Arts Council of Ireland, Teddy Talks is offered to the participants free of charge. Visit theatrelovett.com for more details
