Cork teen girls can take a free esports summer camp (and it even includes lunch)

It could open up an entire career path.
Irish esports organisation, WYLDE, and Belfast Met have teamed up to provide free summer camps to girls aged between 15 and 18 years in Cork and Belfast.
The three-day esports camp, from August 14th to 16th, promises a thrilling mix of gaming, coaching, competitions, professional player talks as well as industry leader insights.
Organised as part of a new initiative, Girls in Esports, the Cork camp is taking place in the WYLDE Academy powered by Virgin Media on the South Mall.

“We are committed to diversity and inclusion in all our WYLDE activities, and the girls in esports initiative is very much at the heart of our ambition to encourage more female esports athletes in the sector,” said WYLDE CEO Steve Daly.
“The girls summer camps are a great way to learn, play and engage in the world of esports, and we hope to have lots of interest from girls all over the island of Ireland.”
