Is performing in a theatre production on your bucket list?
If you’ve always pictured yourself giving it socks on stage, but you’ve never quite gotten around to taking an acting class, there’s a unique opportunity coming up in one of Cork’s biggest venues.
Patrick Talbot Productions has announced it will hold public auditions for the forthcoming production of Philadelphia, Here I Come! by Brian Friel.
Widely regarded as Friel’s first masterpiece, the Broadway production will be directed by Geoff Gould and will feature Alex Murphy, Shane O’Regan, Fionula Linehan, Catherine Walsh and Seamus O’Rourke, among a full ensemble of 14 actors.
The play will open at the Cork Opera House on October 6th, 2021 and members of the public are invited to audition for the part of Ned, Tom, and Joe.

The playing age is early to mid-20s and rehearsals will commence, in Cork, on Monday, September 6th. While experience is not essential, actors must be available, and Cork-based, from September 6th to October 17th.
Those wishing to audition should write to auditionsptp@gmail.com, attaching a photo and CV as well as an indication of which part the actor would like to audition for. The auditions will be held at Cork Opera House on Wednesday, August 25th from 11am.
