If it’s an award-winning cocktail you’re after, come to Cork.

That’s the message one Leeside bar and eatery is sharing with the world this week, after sweeping the boards at the Irish Craft Cocktail Awards 2018 – for the second time in a row.

Cask on MacCurtain Street, famous for their imaginative blends and wild, homegrown concoctions, brought home five awards this year, including the highest honour on the night, Best Overall Cocktail Bar 2018.

Cask also won Outstanding Cocktail Menu, Best Bar Team and Best Cocktail Bar in Munster, while Best Bartender went to Cask’s cocktail master Carl D’Alton.

If you’re a regular customer, it’s no surprise.

“Winning Best Overall Cocktail Bar for a second year running is an amazing feeling.” Cask bar manager Andy Ferreira told Yay Cork.

“When you do four drinks menus a year and really immerse yourself in seasonality and working with locally-foraged ingredients, it’s an incredibly rewarding way to develop drinks and menus.”
