Cork interiors whiz Cathy Angelini is appearing in a new home makeover TV show

We love a juicy home makeover show.
And now there’s an extra reason to catch The Salvage Squad on Virgin Media One this autumn; Cork interior designer Cathy Angelini is one of the competitors.
The new home interior makeover series is hosted by Brian Dowling and there’s a twist; everything must be freecycled, upcycled, sustainable, second-hand, vintage, or salvaged with a budget of €1,000 and just three days to complete.
It will premiere as part of Climate Action Week in October, also featuring Gwen Kenny of Divine Design, Aoife Tobin of Style So Simple, Peter Irvine of The White Home, and author and podcaster, Natasha Rocca Devine.
We haven’t seen any spoilers but this challenge is likely to be a breeze for Cathy, who has long been a fan of upcycling vintage and second-hand pieces in her work at her company Flamingo Interior Design. She even transformed a vintage caravan into a sweet staycation set-up for her own family.
“Bursting to finally share this exciting project I spent the past few months working on… an exciting new home interior TV show!” Angelini shared on Instagram.

“Myself and four other talented designers have been all over Ireland redesigning and transforming tired spaces with a major focus on sustainability.
“I absolutely loved working on the homes of such welcoming homeowners along with a fantastic production team at Animo TV
