Cork Concert Orchestra is playing scores from your favourite movies at City Hall

This will be a trip down memory lane.
Cork Concert Orchestra’s 70 players have a reputation for spectacular performances, but their next show has some major nostalgia in store for Nineties kids.
On Saturday, June 17th, guest conductor Conor Palliser, a teacher at the MTU Cork School of Music, will guide the Cork Concert orchestra on a trip through the evolution of the cinema.
Audiences can expect to be transported back in time via many of the most memorable scores, themes, and songs from many of our most beloved movies over the years, from 633 Squadron and Out of Africa to Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Psycho, and many more.
“If you like themes played by a full orchestra, don’t miss this,” said the group on Twitter.
Would it be too much to request the score from The Little Mermaid?
‘A Night at the Movies’ with Cork Concert Orchestra and compere Elmarie Mawe takes place on Saturday, June 17th from 8pm- 10.30pm. This is expected to be a sell-out show but you can get your €20 ticket here.
