Cork Cine Club is warming up the wintery nights with a new season of great cinema

It’s perfect timing.
As the evenings grow darker and winter settles in, what better time to escape into great cinema?
Cork Cine Club returns for its 28th season, bringing ten acclaimed films from France, Spain, Germany, Norway, the US, and Iran to Cork audiences. Running from September 25th to December 4th, screenings take place every Thursday at 7:30pm in the Cork College of FET, Douglas Street Campus.
The season opens with The Marching Band, a French comedy-drama that is as funny as it is heart-warming on Thursday, September 25th at 7:30pm.
Other notable films are Oslo Stories Trilogy: Dreams on October 16th and, in a departure from Cork Cine Club’s usual contemporary film offerings, Hidden, the 2005 masterpiece by German auteur Michael Haneke on November 13th.

Cork Cine Club is non-profit and run entirely by volunteers. Its mission is to give local audiences the chance to see a range of world cinema not usually available on commercial cinema screens. In fact, since its founding in 2010, the Cine Club has offered more than 250 of the best in independent international films.
Tickets €8.50/€7 [concession] are available online from Powertik or by cash or card at the door.
