Cork Airport has issued some travel advice ahead of Storm Kathleen

Heading off on holidays this weekend?
Firstly, we’re mad jealous.
Secondly, if you’re catching a flight on Saturday, Cork Airport has issued a travel advisory for passengers ahead of Storm Kathleen, which is headed our way tomorrow.
“Met Éireann have issued a Status Orange weather warning for Cork ahead of the arrival of #StormKathleen tomorrow. The warning will be in effect between 0700 – 1400 tomorrow (Saturday).” the Airport management said in a statement.
“Passengers intending to travel tomorrow should exercise due caution on roads, being particularly vigilant for spot flooding and/or fallen trees and other debris.

“For the most up-to-date flight information, passengers are advised to check their flight status with their airline.”
Understandably, passengers travelling tomorrow should allow additional time for their journey to the airport in case of any unforeseen delays on the road.
