Here’s a tour of Cork with a difference.
Writer and documentarian Cónal Creedon will be taking history fans on a unique virtual journey through the city at the Crawford Art Gallery on Friday, October 18th, 2019.
He knows his stuff too; still resident on Devonshire Street, where he and his 12 siblings (including broadcaster John Creedon) were raised, the acclaimed novelist and playwright’s books, stage plays, films and radio dramas are all based, set, thematically styled and inspired by Cork City.
In fact, a portrait of him, by Eileen Healy, takes pride of place in the Crawford’s permanent collection.
As part of the Friends of the Crawford Art Gallery Autumn Series, ‘Come Along With Me Through the Streets of Cork’ promises to be a ‘humorous and enlightening’ jaunt.
Admission is €5 (Third Level students are free with valid ID) and the talk begins at 12.30pm on Friday, October 18th, 2019.
