We all need some Wiggle Room.

Sometimes what you most crave in life is to do absolutely nothing. But when you’re in town, most of the time it’s because you’re busy. You have something very important to do (like shopping). You have lists, important lists (of things to shop for), or important places to be (like shops).

But in between all the activities, there really aren’t that many places where you can take a load off and just relax, especially not for free and especially when it’s raining. Now the Crawford Gallery has done something about that, opening a generous Wiggle Room upstairs.

“Located in the expansive Upper Gallery, this unique space is designed for you to sit, dwell, read, stop, and wiggle if you feel like it,” said the Gallery crew on Instagram.

“Wiggle Room has a range of books that complement the exhibitions Muscle: a Question of Power and Bodywork. And with comfy seating, you can make yourself at home and enjoy the space at your leisure,” they added.

The space is entirely furnished by Cork family-run business EZ Living Interiors, who have installed their lush couches, rugs, armchairs, and stunning coffee tables for the public to enjoy.

“This collaboration provides us with an excellent opportunity to give something unique to our local community.” said a spokesperson for EZ Living Interiors.

“From the luxurious Scott Burnt Orange sofa to the welcoming Cleo Armchair, the pieces within this space are carefully selected to promote a tranquil environment where visitors can enjoy a moment of peace in the midst of their busy lives,”

The Crawford Art Gallery Wiggle Room is open from 10am-5pm, Monday to Sunday.
