Celebrate Pride at The Big Gaylí Summer Holiday in Ballydehob

Ever seen a drag queen do the Siege of Ennis?
Well if you hotfoot it down to Levis’ Corner House in Ballydehob on the 25th you’ll get to witness a whole set, because Ireland’s leading draghaus is putting in the steps at a queer ceilí.
The aptly named Gaylí, hosted by Ireland’s most renowned drag queen Candy Warhol alongside Marian Mary The 6th and special guest Maud Gonne Wrong, is putting the fun back into Irish dancing at the West Cork music venue- and they are promising a night of mischief and craic.
“Join us for a night of drag, comedy, live music, games, and sing-alongs plus a queer ceílí to raise the roof,” said the organisers on Instagram.
Here’s hoping they add the death drop to the Haymaker’s Jig.

The queens are encouraging attendees to come in their most creative costumes, and prizes will be doled out for the best dressed on the night.
Tickets for The Big Gaylí Summer Holiday (Sunday, June 25th from 8pm) are €20 per person and can be purchased from the Levis’ website here.
