These warm evenings are perfect for an al fresco film.

And now the PopUp Movie Club has announced it’s returning to Fota House & Gardens with a spectacular lineup of outdoor shows in August.

Film fans are invited to bring a cosy jumper and a comfy blanket (or book a premium ticket, which includes an air chair) and enjoy Rocket Man, Dirty Dancing, and Pitch Perfect under the stars this summer.

“Nobody puts baby in the corner at the ultimate girls’ night out or even a date night.” the Pop Up Movie Club crew told us.

“BYOB then grab a bite to eat and relax on our comfy air chairs and blankets or fill up the picnic basket and join us as the sun begins to set and enjoy these iconic movies on our giant 20ft screen.”

The dates for August are:

• Friday, August 25th: Rocket Man at Fota House, 8.30pm
• Saturday, August 26th: Dirty Dancing, Fota House & Gardens Car Park, 8.30pm
• Sunday, August 27th: Mean Girls at Fota House, 8.30pm

If you prefer to catch a movie a little closer to town, the Pop Up Movie Club returns to the Marina Market in Ballintemple on Friday, September 1st, 2023 with a BYOB showing of Mean Girls at 8.30pm.
