If you love the outdoors, this could be your dream job.

Carraig Na Bhfear Community Swimming Pool is seeking lifeguards for the summer 2021 season, with plans to reopen in the coming weeks.

Applicants for the role, which will be available throughout July and August and possibly longer depending on the weather, will need an up-to-date Lifeguard Certification (call 087 2288248 to apply).

Built in 1963 by a group of volunteers, the Carraig Na Bhfear Community Swimming Pool was heated in 1996 and hot showers were installed in 1998. A number of updates have been made in recent years, from new changing rooms and outdoor furniture to bike racks.

The amenity is still run by locals who hope to make this year as fun for visitors as possible, with a Swim Camp led by a qualified swim coach kicking off on July 5th, 2021 (ages 4/5 upwards, call Alison on 0877951541 for more details and to register).
