Carols by Candlelight: Christmassy magic is back at St Finbarre’s Cathedral

It doesn’t get more festive than this one.
There is nothing more heartwarmingly Christmassy than a carol service, but team those familiar old songs with a truly spectacular setting and you’ll see why the annual Carols by Candlelight service in St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral is one of the most popular in the country.
With three performances from December 1st-3rd, 2021, this is an event that will bring all your childhood carol fantasies to life.
Ever since Kevin McCallister sat in that church hiding from the Wet Bandits, we’ve been obsessed with Christmas carollers.

In fact, you should put it in the diary right now because we know every year you ‘mean’ to go and every year you are disappointed when you forget. Not this winter, folks; it’s 2021 and after the few years we’ve had, we have a list longer than Santa’s of the things we put off ‘until next year’ but never get around to.
The service will include performances from UCC Choral Society and UCC Singers who will sing a mix of traditional pieces and Christmas classics from different genres.
Shows kick off at 8pm and you can buy tickets through their IG page from next week.
