Prosecco flavoured cheese is a thing… and it’s coming to a deli counter near you.

For those who like their dairy to be daring, SuperValu has announced that a Limited Edition Wensleydale Raspberry and Prosecco Cheese will be available exclusively in selected stores throughout Ireland this month.

While it’s not exactly a cheese for adding to your lunchtime sandwich, this one is sure to be a huge hit at dinner parties.

It’s waxy outer shell conceals a soft, baby pink cheese centre that can be spread on crackers (or deposited directly into your mouth because who are we kidding?).

But what does it taste like?

Well, Wensleydale has a crumbly texture and a milky flavour that pairs well with the acidity of prosecco and raspberry. It’s the fruity dessert of cheeses – anyone with a sweet tooth will love it.

Let’s face it, pink cheese also makes for the most Instagrammable cheese board ever so it’s worth popping in your fridge for the photo opp alone.
