Book it: 5 Cork beer gardens, bars and restaurants taking reservations for June 7th

Ready for the first proper pint of 2021?
Cork’s pubs, restaurants, and hotels are busy prepping for the big reopening on June 7th and some have already opened up their booking platforms, meaning it’s fastest fingers first to nab a table in early June.
According to the Government guidelines, groups must be limited to a maximum of six people per table, so keep your numbers small for the best chance of securing a booking.
Here are five of the first Cork spots to offer reservations:
1. THE FRANCISCAN WELL
Where: North Mall, Cork City
One of the biggest beer gardens in Cork is polishing the taps and pruning the flower boxes for a lively summer of alfresco boozing. They’re taking reservations for pizzas and pints after June 7th now via email (franwellbooking@gmail.com).
Be warned, tables are filling up fast but the Fran Well crew are replying to everyone’s email requests as quickly as possible.
2. GOLDIE
Where: 128 Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork City
Dreaming of a delicious dinner served somewhere other than your own dining room table? Bib Gourmand winning seafood restaurant Goldie is now taking bookings for outside dining from June 7th, 2021. You can select the number of guests in your party and reserve your table via their website here.
In the meantime, you can drop by to collect one of their delicious ‘Bosca na Farraige’ takeaway boxes (€30 for two sharing) every weekend.
3. DWYER’S OF CORK
Where: Little Cross Street, Cork City
Now that a reopening date is set, Dwyer’s are working on preparing their outdoor area on the newly resurfaced Little Cross Street for al fresco drinkers and diners.
Their booking system is open now here.
4. THE BRIAR ROSE
Where: Douglas
After 169 days of closure, The Briar Rose is planning on reopening with a bang on June 7th.
The bar is expanding its outdoor eating and drinking capacity by more than double to accommodate alfresco diners. You can book your table now via the booking system here.
In the meantime, you can swing by their Wolf Coffee hatch seven days a week or order from the menu online for delivery and collection.
5. CLANCY’S
Where: Princes Street, Cork City
With a huge roof terrace up top and an alfresco dining area on the pedestrianised street out front, Clancy’s is a prime spot for outdoor drinks and dining this summer. The bar confirmed it will be taking reservations for tables from June 7th.
