Blurry Bird is about to launch some serious southern fried chicken burgers in Cork

Cancel your dinner plans.
A new takeaway concept is now live and ready to order in Cork, offering clucking delicious selection of hot new takes on the chicken dinner.
The latest venture from the creative folk at Aye & Crawford and Co. on Anglesea Street, Blurry Bird offers a menu of American-style dishes, naughty sides, and dessert cocktails.
Choose from the list of Southern-fried chicken burgers (ours is a Dirty Bird (€10) with streaky bacon, gruyere cheese, garlic mayo, and crispy onions), then add extras like chips with truffle mayo or curry salt and parmesan.
There are three types of chicken wings to start, Buffalo, Korean and BBQ, served with smoked garlic mayo and charred corn and if you’re feeling fancy you can plump for the Posh Bird; confit duck leg, duck fat roast potatoes, gruyere cheese, truffle gravy and grilled gem lettuce (€15).
Vegans are catered for too; the ‘Not a Bird’ is made with vegan southern fried strips, lettuce, tomato, pickle and cashew cheese.
Cocktails are to-go, all €9.90; this weekend you can try the Robin Bastards (Cork Dry Gin, Martini Blanco, Campari, topped with grapefruit soda, lemon sorbet), the Fly the Coop Muldoon Whiskey liqueur, Creme de Cacao, hazelnut liqueur, milk, Aztec Chocolate Bitters, salted caramel ice cream) or the Flipping the Bird (Absolut Vodka, Chambord, lime, pineapple juice, mango, and passionfruit sorbet).
Delivery is available Thursday-Sunday 5pm-10pm on Just Eat, coming soon to Deliveroo.
