Another popular Cork heritage pub reopens for indoor dining today

There’s plenty of space to spread out inside.
The Old Town Whiskey Bar at The Bodega is bringing back indoor dining today, after delaying the reopening until its younger staff members had ample opportunity to access Covid-19 vaccines.
“We are absolutely delighted to announce that we will be opening our beautiful building for indoor dining this coming Monday.” The Bodega crew posted on Facebook.
“We can’t wait to see ye all.”

Back in July, bar owner Benny McCabe said he felt it was “unfair to have unvaccinated staff serving people indoors” when they couldn’t have a pint themselves in another pub.
While the bar was fully staffed and able to open, McCabe said the group decided to “wait a while longer to reopen our pubs indoors” until people in the 18-24 age group had been offered a vaccine, continuing their bar and food service outdoors on the Coal Quay terrace instead.
You can make a booking indoors, outdoors, or in the Courtyard now here.
