An old Cork city laneway is slowly turning into an outdoor art gallery

Swing by for a look this week.
Myo Cafe owner, Liam Mullaney has taken to Instagram to invite fans on a little stroll down a rapidly expanding street of local art near his busy café on Pope’s Quay.
The work has turned Widderling’s Lane into an outdoor art gallery, with several new additions honouring local folk, from the famous Cork-born labour activist Mother Jones to a pair of podcasters doing some impressive stuff to improve mental health.
“It’s a work in progress but the supremely talented @jambijambotattoo is busy immortalising the two boys from @2norriespodcast on Widderling’s Lane over the next few days!” said Liam of the Widderlings Lane Urban Art Gallery.

“This adds to our growing Urban Art project on the lane which we are slowly but surely working on and which has seen some excellent collaborations so far.”
Pieces by Tom Campbell, local children, and some talented Ukrainian students also feature and it’s the perfect spot for a coffee walk now that the weather is brightening up.
