An insect expert is leading a fascinating creepy crawl through Doneraile Park

Do your kids love bugs?
If so, don’t make any plans for Sunday, August 13th; there’s a free event happening in Doneraile Park that’ll be right up their street.
Cork Nature Network is celebrating Heritage Week with a walk and talk to discover the insects and wide variety of habitats Doneraile Park has to offer.
Led by seasoned insect expert John O’Sullivan, this educational and enthralling journey will introduce children and adults alike to the captivating world of tiny creatures.
“Families are very welcome and Cork Nature Network will have nets on hand for anyone wishing to collect a specimen for identification. This event is part of our ongoing Valuing Insects project,” they told us.
“John O’Sullivan is part of Cork Nature Network’s Valuing Insects team. He is also a guest lecturer at UCC and has a background in plant science. His research interests include conservation, regeneration, and urban ecology, with particular emphasis on entomology.”
