All of these supermarkets have started safe shopping sessions for Cork’s ill and elderly

It’s time to protect our most vulnerable.
Cork supermarkets have been rowing in to support the city’s elderly and frail people during the Covid-19 outbreak, by offering a dedicated morning shopping slot where they can choose groceries without facing queues or crowds.
From Friday, March 20th, An Post offices will also open early at 8am for OAPs who wish to conduct their business ahead of other customers.
SUPERVALU
To assist vulnerable customers, Ryan’s SuperValu Group stores in Glanmire, Grange, Togher and Kilmallock are offering a dedicated till in each store, home delivery and a priority shopping slot from 9.30am to 11am Monday to Friday.
“We will be relying on our customers to respect this time slot for the elderly and to please try and plan their shopping trip with us around this time.” said a spokesperson. These are the numbers to contact if you would like to arrange home delivery:

“They will be given priority through the till during all trading hours.” said a spokesperson for the store.
