We’re hoping the Easter bunny makes a stop at a certain German supermarket this year.

Aldi just unveiled the trendiest easter egg of the season and we’re determined to get our hands on one.

The Specially Selected Exquisite Ruby Heist Egg (€11.99) landed in Aldi stores across the country today. Made from the rare ruby cocoa bean, ruby chocolate is known for its distinct pink colour.

The flavour is unique too; smooth, intensely fresh and fruity with sweet yet sour notes.

As if that wasn’t enough, Aldi’s handcrafted shimmering ruby chocolate gem is surrounded by a pyramid of 24 luxury truffles that would not be out of place on the shelves of a chocolate atelier.

Fusions such as Milk Chocolate with Kir Royale, Pecan Praline & Black Tea Gianduja, Dark Chocolate & Maldon Salted Caramel, Orange & Pomelo and White Chocolate with Raspberry Puree have been carefully blended to accompany the magnificent ruby egg.
