‘Tis the season of goodwill.
Jack’s at Pilgrims Rest, the newest culinary gem in Rosscarbery, is throwing open its doors on Christmas Day for mulled wine and mince pies in aid of the children of Gaza.
From 10am to 12noon, this West Cork restaurant is inviting people in for a sip and a nibble, with all donations being made to Save the Children.
Hailing from Cornwall, chef Jack Bell brought his culinary magic to South Square during the summer, introducing Jack’s at Pilgrims Rest to the Rosscarbery scene. As he embarks on his first Christmas away from family and friends, and thinking of his own two nieces, Jack decided to channel the true spirit of the season by extending some warmth and generosity.

“Christmas is about community and helping others, so what better to bring people together for mulled wine and mince pies for some craic and to donate to Gaza,” Jack told Yay Cork.
This will be the perfect treat for those who have braved the Rosscarbery Christmas Swim, stepping out (or into) Christmas Day Mass, or who simply want to support a great charity and sample one of Jack’s amazing mince pies.
