A sustainable craft fair will feature as part of Rebound Arts Festival next week

By Christina Collins April 3, 2022April 3, 2022

We’ve completely reshaped how we live our lives in the last few years.

But with all this talk of the new normal, there’s still plenty to be garnered from the old ways of doing things. And those are the things that often fire up our imaginations the most.

With this in mind, the people over at Rebound Arts Festival are hosting a one-of-a-kind craft fair as part of their line-up of events next week. The Festival aims to showcase local produce and encourage the sharing of artisanal and artistic know-how.

Stallholders taking part include Seaside Squirrel, Soul Vintage Cork, Saw Framed, Stitchín, Aoife Slattery Ceramics, and Ceramifique, among others. The market will take place at Theatre Lab in the Connolly Complex, UCC on Sunday, April 10th  from 12pm- 4pm and admission is free.

As part of the event, a (Re)creation Market will be dedicated to repurposing old items and will feature stalls from a plethora of creators ranging from sustainable wares to candles, jewellery to decor and skincare.

“We seek to promote the return to creativity through the provision of arts and crafts in the heart of the city,” said the festival organisers on Instagram.

“As a craft fair, this event is committed to contributing to respect for the environment and diversity of cultural craft-making expertise that exists in Cork City.”

Rebound Arts Festival is running for three days with programmed events across Cork city from April 8th-10th 2022. Find more info here and check out the handy timetable below:
