A sell-out doughnut pop-up is back this weekend (and it’s bring-your-own-box)

The last event was a sell-out success.
Now Hilary Quinn is dishing out her delectable fancy doughnuts to the people once again this weekend with a pop-up at Ballymaloe.
The senior pastry chef at Ballymaloe House is popping up at Ballymaloe Cookery School on Saturday, June 6th, from 11am… with more doughnuts than ever before.
Sweet-toothed customers can expect extra special treats on the day, with lots of summer goodies on the menu, including a new, special edition elderflower glazed yum yum, an Irish strawberry and fig leaf doughnut, and the return of the “everything” bagel-inspired savoury bun.
A gluten-free seasonal cake will also be available if flour is not your friend.
For this pop-up, Hilary is trialling a “BYOB” concept – Bring Your Own Box.

“We all know that single-use packaging isn’t great for the environment, and while we try our best, it often gets muddled up in the general waste bin before it has a chance to be recycled properly,” said Hilary.
“Bring along a food-safe, clean, suitable container which you can bring your doughnuts home in (if your doughnuts even make it that far!) – it could be a lunchbox, a baking dish or even an empty berry punnet!”
BYOB and you will even get a €1 discount off your purchase.
