A rummage through this bank holiday Monday car boot sale sounds like a plan

Love a bit of good-natured haggling?
The Belgooly GAA Car Boot Sale is taking place on bank holiday Monday (August 5th) this week instead of the usual Sunday.
After this week, it will run on the first Sunday of every month until October 6th, with admission €2 per person (kids go free).
The bargain hunting begins at 8am until 2pm on the day. Gates open at 7.30am for traders and there’s no need to book a pitch – just turn up and you can sell your items for €10 per car.
Car boot sales, for the uninitiated, are a treasure trove of hidden gems, a chaotic wonderland where history and happenstance collide.
They’re not just about scoring a bargain (though let’s be honest, a mint-condition record player for a tenner is a steal), but about the experience itself.
Meander through rows upon rows of boot-turned-display cases. You might stumble upon a dusty box overflowing with vintage costume jewellery, or vinyl, or silverware… or the perfect chair for the porch – anything’s possible.
It might be the perfect way to spend a rainy bank holiday Monday.
