A ‘Roaring Twenties’ afternoon tea is taking over the Metropole for an entire Sunday

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content.
Especially when that Sunday is spent surrounded by your girlfriends or colleagues at a raucous day time fancy dress afternoon tea party in one of the city’s oldest hotels.
Yes, yes; dig out your flapper dresses, cloche hats and headbands; Vintage Chic returns to the Metropole Hotel in Cork’s happenin’ Victorian Quarter on Sunday, November 24th, 2019.
The vintage-themed charity event has been running for seven years now, gaining a reputation for one of the most enjoyable charity events the city has to offer… and with a 1pm kick-off, you’ll still be tucked up in bed at a reasonable hour on Sunday night.
For this year’s ‘Roaring 20s’ themed party, each €55 ticket includes a Prosecco reception, delicious afternoon tea, a fashion show, vintage pop-up shops and a goody bag. It’s the perfect pre-Christmas get-together if the festive season is too hectic to plan anything as a group.
Burlesque performer Fox P Cox will be shaking her stuff on stage, with live jazz singers keeping the atmosphere electric all day long from 1pm until 6pm and prizes for the best dressed.
The best bit? All the proceeds go to the Make A Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions and create lasting, happy memories for their families.
