A quick poll has revealed some interesting Cork Pancake Tuesday preferences

When do you eat yours?
That’s the question we wanted answered for once and for all this Pancake Tuesday.
As frying pans are oiled up and batter ingredients are mixed in kitchens across the county, we asked our Yay Cork readers to tell us exactly when they expect to be digging into their plates of pancóga.
The results were revealing; while some cheeky pancake fans choose to indulge in the morning or at lunchtime, the majority tuck in at dinner time.
Do you have your #PancakeTuesday pancakes:

It seems that quantity is important too; most readers choose to skip dinner altogether in order to scoff as many pancakes as possible.
Traditional lemon and sugar is the most popular topping, closely followed by Nutella, but American style pancakes are a huge no-no on Leeside, it’s crepes all the way.

If you’re on the move today or working in the city, you can still get your fix in town.
Over at The Old Town Whiskey Bar at The Bodega on Cornmarket Street you can order four pancakes and a coffee for a fiver, while The MET Outdoor Cafe over by The Metropole Hotel is flipping them fresh to take away over on MacCurtain Street.
The Maldon Hotel on the South Mall is also plating up pancakes to go – €5 gets you your choice of Lemon & Sugar, Lemon Chocolate & Berries or Strawberry Chocolate and a coffee or tea.
