A photographer captured some truly spectacular shots of Cork’s night sky

These are mind blowing.
A Cork photographer who set out to capture some shots of the night sky got more than he bargained for this week.
Kevin O’Brien took a late night road trip to West Cork and set up his equipment hoping to photograph the Milky Way.
The resulting images, taken in Lough Hyne near Skibbereen, Owenahincha, Roscarberry and Castlefreke and shared on Twitter, reveal a galaxy of glittering stars often invisible to the naked eye.
Kevin, who is co-founder of guerilla gardening collective Mad About Cork, is calling the collection of photos ‘The Wild Atlantic Milky Way’.
