A new Cork Singles Festival involves speed dating, scenic walks and a Bachelor Auction

Bored of dating apps?
If you dream of meeting your match the old fashioned way, a new festival happening in West Cork this September is the place to be.
The first ever Bantry Singles Festival will take place from September 12th to 14th, 2025 in the coastal town of Bantry and with a Festival Matchmaker already accepting applications from hopeful romantics, it’s looking like the real deal for anyone seeking love.
Festival highlights include a live Cilla Black–style Blind Date show full of cheeky charm, Speed Dating sessions across a selection of age groups and a vibrant, inclusive Queer Garden, open to all sexual orientations.
A Bachelor Auction on Sunday, September 14th invites singletons to bid for a date with destiny from 5pm during “an intoxicating evening of pints and passionate company”.

“Come bid on a curated date experience with one of Bantry’s most eligible gentlemen. All proceeds from the evening will be donated to West Cork Animal Welfare Group.” say the organisers.
Outdoor adventures will include scenic walks, kayaking, and daytime meet-ups so there will be ample opportunity to meet plenty of new faces in a relaxed, fun setting.
You can also get a Love Astrology Reading in Seadog Bantry to help you get clear on the type of person you’d like to attract into your life, join a Board Game Café and recover from the night’s shenanigans over Brunch and Bubbly at Wild Garlic.
