A new Cork coffee brand just bought the Two Mile Inn – here are their plans

By Katie Mythen-Lynch November 21, 2023November 21, 2023

New coffee spot loading.

5Mile Coffee, a newly launched coffee brand based in the heart of Midleton, East Cork, has completed the acquisition of the Two Mile Inn.

Situated just outside Midleton on the N25 to Youghal, the company’s plans for the premises involve an extensive renovation of the entire property, with a new coffee destination opening in late summer 2024.

Founded by David Jordan, co-founder of Aunty Nellie Sweet Shops and former Managing Director of TLC Confectionery. 5Mile Coffee distinguishes itself by its “holistic approach to coffee-making”, encompassing each of the five essential steps in the coffee bean journey.

The approach includes working closely with farmers to source the finest beans, ensuring quality in every roast by passionate roasters, working with skilled baristas, and investing in local ventures.

5Mile Coffee has established a presence throughout Ireland thanks to one of its key partnerships with The iNUA Collection. The company offers a diverse range of coffee products, including whole beans, ground coffee, and is currently working on a range of innovative convenience coffee products.

“At 5Mile Coffee, we believe in keeping things simple,” said 5Mile’s David Jordan.

“Our vision is clear — simplicity and authenticity drive us. We are passionate about delivering straightforward solutions that align with our core values.”
