A miniature nightclub is coming to Emmet Place next month

It’s been a while since we had somewhere new to throw some shapes.
However Cork’s newest nightclub won’t be a permanent fixture on the dance scene.
A series of 10 Minute Dance Parties will be held inside a shipping container club on Emmet Place next month.
The all-ages event is the brainchild of Joseph O’Farrell (JOF), a multi-art performer, producer, curator, musician and lecturer making work between Melbourne and London.
Dance parties will be free but ticketed and will take place on June 22nd and 23rd from 3pm-5pm and 6pm to 8pm.
All you need to do is turn up… and be ready to party.
It’s all part of this year’s Cork Midsummer Festival (June 15th-24th), during which more than 55,000 people are expected to hit the city for ten days of theatre, literature, dance, music, visual art and family-friendly fun.
Highlights for 2018 include Camille O’Sullivan with the Cork Opera House Concert Orchestra and the world premiere stage adaption of Asking For It by author Louise O’Neill at The Everyman.
