A mezcal master is stepping behind the bar at Paladar on Bridge Street

This’ll bring you back to those wild nights in Tulum.
Bridge Street bar Paladar will play host to a very special guest this Wednesday, November 26th, as Gregory J. Buda, co-founder of Del Suelo Mezcal, drops in to share the story behind the brand and pour some of his signature spirits.
Mezcal is a smoky, complex Mexican spirit made from agave plants, similar to tequila but with a much wider range of flavours. It’s traditionally roasted in underground pits, which gives it that distinctive earthy, smoky character.
Buda, who also co-owns the acclaimed Bar Bisou Bisou in Montreal, knows his way around world-class cocktails, and for one night only he’ll be shaking them up in Cork. From 7pm to 10pm, he’ll take over the bar at Paladar with a one-off cocktail menu, giving locals a rare chance to sip drinks created by one of the industry’s most respected voices.

Before the evening kicks off, Buda will also host an afternoon masterclass and tasting from 2pm to 3:30pm, where guests can learn about mezcal production, flavour profiles, and the story behind Del Suelo.
Whether you’re a cocktail nerd, a mezcal fan, or just curious to try something new, Paladar says to simply pop in, grab a glass, and hang out with one of the leading figures in today’s drinks scene.
