And now for something completely different.

If you thought you’d heard every possible take on Dr Dre’s classic DR DRE: 2001 album, there’s one more you may not have experienced just yet.

Events company No Strings Attached are bringing a Live Orchestral Rendition of DR. DRE: 2001 to Cork in April… and it looks like a solid night of rap nostalgia.

One of the UK’s leading orchestras will play Dre’s west coast classics from start to finish on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 (7pm) at Cyprus Avenue.

Released on November 16, 1999, DR DRE: 2001 went on to sell eight million copies, debuting at No. 2 in the US Billboard charts.

It features tracks such as Still D.R.E., Forgot About Dre and The Next Episode (we’ll be warming up our vocal chords by singing these in the shower for the next few few weeks.)

Tickets (€26.50) are on sale now here.
