A gorgeous new gift and plant shop is opening this weekend in Cobh’s West Beach
It’s great timing if you’re hunting for a Mother’s Day gift.
A brand new gift shop opens this weekend in West Beach, Cobh, with a thoughtful selection of pressies and plants to peruse while you’re enjoying a day by the sea.
Owner, art and curios lover Damira Levacic, hails from Croatia and has been living in Ireland for seven years. Because she lives above the shop, she settled on the name Downstairs for the new venture.
Downstairs will be open every weekend from 10am to 5pm and from Wednesday to Friday 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
“When I was deciding on what items I would stock in Downstairs I was thinking of what I would love to give to my friends or what I would love to receive as a gift,” Damira told her Instagram fans.

“Finding a gift for some people is very easy. I’ve a friend who absolutely loves baths and the bath bombs were something I definitely had to include.
“I’d say she would be happiest with one that smells like Baileys but we can’t have everything.”
You can pop in this weekend and pick up coconut, rhubarb, Hawaiian mango, and peach sangria bath bombs, beautiful journals designed in Cork by The Sixty Second Journal and various seaside-inspired finds including a tide clock and barometer.
